Doctors needed!

The Progressive Community is calling out to all doctors who may have an interest in becoming a mohel. We currently have only 2 mohalim for the entire UK Progressive Jewish Community and we need more to help meet the needs of our families  and perform this mitzvah. Surgical experience required: none! Open to any GMC registered medical practitioner.

A suitable mohel would be a doctor who wants to offer the Progressive Jewish Community a unique and valuable service to families and individuals at an incredibly special time in their lives. The doctor would be trained and supported in all matters of anaethesia, surgical technique and ceremonial duties related to circumcision and brit milah by the existing mohalim.

This role requires a time commitment and a certain flexibility of availability, but can easily be done to suit your personal working week.
