Ways to Give

Here at the LJS, from youngest to oldest, our community members learn and live Chesed (acts of kindness). As an inclusive community with a rich tapestry encompassing a wide variety of backgrounds, we understand the need to bridge the chasm between gender, faiths and age.  Our aim is to nurture a burgeoning relationship with the broader community through various programmes. There are a variety of ways in which you can contribute your time and/or resources in support of our multitude of community outreach projects designed to care for both elderly and vulnerable members of our local and broader community in London

Below are a few examples of how you can get involved at the LJS and make a lasting contribution not only to our community, but beyond

  • Become a member of the Security Team

We are always looking for more volunteers from our membership. If you would like to help protect our members and congregants, please send us a note via our contacts page or email

  • Sponsorship:

  • Shabbat Morning Greeter Rota: Calling all social butterflies.  Please come along one Shabbat morning and greet members as they make their way to services.

Shabbat Morning Coffee Rota: Join us one Shabbat morning in Montefiore Hall to help serve coffee to our members before services. A fun and easy way to meet and interact with members of the community.

Flower Rota: Are you a seasoned flower arranger?  Then the flower rota is for you. This lovely group buys and prepares flowers for the bima.

  • United Charities Fund

This fund enables members to give small amounts to UK Jewish charities through the LJS.
