A Place to Call My Jewish Home

This book was written as part of the synagogue's centenary celebrations. It brings the synagogue's history vividly to life through the eyes and in the words of congregants, rabbis, lay leaders and professional staff.

It draws on an extensively researched range of interviews, talks, lectures, newspaper articles, letters, memoirs, and other archive materials. It provides a chronological history of the LJS, covers key themes and issues in its development, and presents the personal memories of a cross section of members.
