Grenfell Tower Fire

A number of congregants have contacted the LJS to ask how they can help residents of Grenfell Tower.  Here is the latest information on how you can help.

The latest information we have received is that goods and clothing are not required as they have had so many donations.

Financial Donations

Further to our message yesterday, the LJS is proud and pleased to be supporting the efforts of The London Community Foundation, led by CEO Russell Delew (LJS member). Russell writes:

"As CEO of The London Community Foundation, we've set up two fundraising sites and are now working to distribute funds to the families from Grenfell who have lost everything, including loved ones. I've been on site all weekend and at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital to ensure we have a way of supporting those most affected".

If you would like to contribute via the LJS, please send a cheque made payable to The Liberal Jewish Synagogue. Please address the envelope, The Liberal Jewish Synagogue, 'Grenfell Tower Fund', 28 St John's Wood Road, London NW8 7HA. In addition, please mark the back of your cheque 'Grenfell Tower'.

If you prefer to contribute online to The London Community Foundation campaign, you can do so by clicking the link below. Please make sure you put LJS somewhere in the text message of your donation.

Thank you very much.
